The construction of a furnace using pre-assembled plant modules is becoming increasingly significant, since it allows investments and machine downtimes to be kept to a minimum.
The advantages of modular design lie, in particular, in the short assembly times, so that if a new plant is installed to replace an old furnace, the furnace downtimes are minimised, or the replacement can be made when the plant is not operating. In addition, the use of ready-built modules means that furnaces can also be installed in locations where space is limited.
The preassembled modules also reduce the amount of work required from the customer on site.
SELAS-LINDE has a number of suitable suppliers who are able to pre-manufacture the modules with total reliability.
